Summary
Jenny a 16-year-old teen who has been training to be a professional cellist. She usually avoids anything that stops her from succeeding in her career of being a professional cellist, that is until she met Jaewoo who swept her off her feet for one fun night in LA before he left the next day. Jenny knew she would never see him again until her mom had to go to Seoul, the heart of Korea to see her mom. Not wanting to be separated from her mom for months Jenny goes to an elite arts academy in Seoul, where she meets Jaewoo(again). Little does she know that he is a K-pop star which means he can't date anyone. Jenny needs to decide if she is ready to risk her career for a relationship. Are Jenny and Jaewoo meant to be or are their careers simply too big to be put at stake for a relationship?
Review :)
Xoxo is a great book for a wide range of audiences. This was the first K-pop romance book I have ever read. I was very intrigued by the plot line and I think a lot of others will be too, especially if you like K-pop romance this book is surely for you! Jenny is very focused on her passion and is finding out who she is outside of her profession as a cellist. She has what it takes to be great but as the book says "she lacks the spark". She needs to decide if she wants to continue being super focused on the cello or put herself out there. Jaewoo is a kind, caring, and altogether amazing person, at points in the book though you just feel like going up to him though and telling him that he is not responsible for other's life. He is always so worried about others and maintaining the reputation that an idol should have he forgets to live like a normal teen . These two individuals are very unique and have very different lives, the question is will this make for a strong relationship or one that was doomed from the start. You will just have to wait and see! Altogether it is a must-read for all, I highly recommend it!
